Congratulations to Japanese PM on re-election as LDP President

General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee Nguyen Phu Trong on September 21st sent a congratulatory message to Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on his re-election as President of the ruling Liberal Democratic Party (LDP).

Prime Minister Shinzo Abe was re-elected as LDP President on September 20 for his third consecutive term.
Abe, 63, won 329 votes from Diet members and 224 from rank-and-file members for a total of 553 out of 807 votes. His new term runs for three years, until September 2021./.
