General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam and President Nguyen Phu Trong has sent a message of congratulations to Kassym Tokayev over his election as President of Kazakhstan.

Kassym Tokaev took the oath of office on June 12th.
Vietnam and Kazakhstan established diplomatic relations in 1992. Vietnam is now an important trading partner of Kazakhstan in Southeast Asia, with the free trade agreement (FTA) between Vietnam and the Eurasian Economic Union taking effect on October 5th, 2016./.
