So said Ho Ky Minh, Vice Chairman of the Da Nang city People’s Committee, when receiving a delegation from the Japan - Vietnam Friendship Association in Kakegawa city of Japan’s Shizuoka prefecture, led by its President Toudou Yoichi, on November 15th.
He said that the direct flights between Da Nang and Narita, as well as Da Nang and Osaka, are operating well, making favourable conditions for Japanese businesses, investors and people.
He urged Mr. Toudou Yoichi and the association members to actively support Japanese businesses to carry out investment in Da Nang, especially in production and processing, and in the city’s hi-tech zone.
“With its advantage of tea production and processing and the culture of tea ceremony, Kakegawa city can send tea producers to the Vietnam - Japan Culture Festival or join fairs in Da Nang city, contributing to boosting cultural and tourism activities between the two localities”, he added.
Expressing his pleasure with the cooperation between Da Nang and Japanese localities, Mr. Toudou Yoichi said he hoped that Shinzuoka and Da Nang authorities will promote the opening of the direct flight between the two localities, and increase cooperation in human resources and tourism.
He confirmed that his association will continue to call more and more investors to Da Nang.
On the same day, Vice Chairman Minh had a reception for Tsuchida Hiroshi, CEO of the Japan’s Bugin Economic Research Institute in which he encouraged Japanese businesses to invest in areas of common concern such as information technology, hi-tech industry, processing and environmental friendly manufacturing, especially in the city’s hi-tech park, to enjoy diverse preferential policies./.
