Ho Chi Minh city enhances cooperative relationship with German city

During his reception for Deputy Mayor of Germany’s Leipzig city Torsten Bonew on December 6th, Politburo member and Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh city Party Committee Nguyen Thien Nhan discussed measures to promote cooperation between the two cities, including in education, healthcare, technology and transport.

Noting that the two cities have set up good relationship, he appreciated the upcoming debut of the Leipzig city representative office at the Germany House, which he said reflects the efforts and determination to boost cooperation between the two cities.
According to Mr. Nhan, many German businesses care about operation in Vietnam. They provide products and services in Vietnam and bring Vietnamese laborers for training in Germany. “Ho Chi Minh city hopes to cooperate with Leipzig city in diverse areas, especially in the application of technology and waste treatment, in order to satisfy the demand for development and increase administrative reform.
Revealing that Leipzig is one of the German cities reporting the most rapid development, he also spoke highly of Ho Chi Minh city’s development.
Appreciating the operation of Germany House in the Vietnamese city, Mr. Torsten Bonew said that Leipzig is the only German city setting up its representative office at the house. “That is the symbol for the close relationship between the two sides,” he said./.
