Ho Chi Minh city wants to increase cooperation with China’s Guangxi

Continuing a working visit to Chinese localities, a delegation from Ho Chi Minh city on June 6th worked with Guangxi province’s leaders.

During the meeting, Vo Thi Dung, Deputy Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh city Party Committee and the delegation showed their happiness to visit Guangxi province’s Nanning city, confirming that the visit followed commitments reached by Guangxi province and Ho Chi Minh city leaders in 2015 and 2016, in paying working visits to each other.

Despite geographic distance, Ho Chi Minh city and Guangxi province share numerous similarities, including the development of the non-State economic sector.

In the tendency of non-State economic development in the years to come, Ho Chi Minh city hopes to share experience in Party building and the development of political forces in the non-State economic sector from China in general and from Guangxi in particular.

Besides, the Vietnamese city also wants to increase trade, education and healthcare cooperation, suiting the Vietnamese Party, State and people’s viewpoints in attaching great importance to promoting friendly and comprehensive cooperation with China.

Ms Dung expressed her thanks to Chinese leaders and authorities for strictly working with Vietnamese border localities to ensure favourable conditions for people to do business, contributing to reinforcing solidarity and cooperation between the two countries.

Mr. Yu Yun Lin, a member of the Standing Board of the Guangxi Party Committee and Head of the Guangxi Party Committee Commission on Organization, confirmed the viewpoint of Guangxi province’s leaders in considering Ho Chi Minh city its friendship city, expressing his hope that the two localities would further increase cooperation in diverse areas, for the benefit of the two localities and the two nations.

Guangxi province also hopes to exchange experience with Ho Chi Minh city in Party building, considering Ho Chi Minh city’s success in the development of the non-State economic sector experience for Guangxi.

According to Mr. Yu Yun Lin, Guangxi will be willing to share experience in the organization of apparatus and personnel in leading and managing Party members in the non-State economic sector./.
