He made the statement while he was being received by Vietnamese Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Nguyen Quoc Cuong on May 27th during his visit to Vietnam for policy consultancy among the two ministries.

At the reception, Mr. Cuong appreciated the results of the recent 2nd policy consultancy meeting, saying that in the complex and unpredictable development of the world situation, the coordination of the two countries in research of regional and world situations, as well as in international issues, is very important. Therefore, he suggested the two sides maintain the consultancy mechanism.
Confirming that Vietnam attaches great importance to developing bilateral relationship with Poland, Mr. Cuong praised the strong development in the two countries’ relationship by regularly maintaining delegation exchanges, strictly coordinating in multi-lateral forums, and increasing the efficiency of economic cooperation.
He urged the Polish Government to continue to make favourable conditions for overseas Vietnamese; and as a member of the EU, to continue to promote the comprehensive cooperation and partnership between Vietnam and the EU, especially the signing of the EVFTA to benefit all parties, thus facilitating the economics, trade and investment between Vietnam and EU countries, including Poland.
Saying that Poland and Vietnam share a lot of similarities in area, scale, development target and respect of international laws in international relations, including the addressing of disputes among nations, Mr. Maciej Pisarski agreed that the two countries hold great potential in cooperation.
He suggested the two sides promptly organize a foreign affairs deputy ministerial strategic dialogue in 2019 and re-connect the direct flight between the two countries.
He also confirmed that Poland supports the early signing and adoption of the EVFTA./.
