Art program of overseas Vietnamese in Paris

An art program including traditional songs of Vietnam themed “Beloved nation” was organized by the Que Huong Choir and the Rouen Orchestra in Paris, France.

Members of the choir include 30 Vietnamese and French artists with various kinds of instruments. They brought new feelings and pride about the beloved nation of Vietnam.

Also participating in the program was a group of children named “Au Viet” in France.

The conductor of an orchestra Claude Brendel said that he was very satisfied and happy. The performance was long awaited, since the organization of performances to record a CD in Rouen in July 2016 CD. The CD and the performance were also the result of a major project cherished for a long time by Ms. Ngan Ha and Conductor Claude Brendel, and he was very proud of it.

Juliette, a violin musician, said she felt lucky to be performing in Paris with the professionals and to be sharing with Vietnamese friends about the cultures and cultural exchange between the two countries.

Mrs. Nguyen Thanh Hang, an overseas Vietnamese in France, took her whole family, including her husband and her parents-in-law, who are all French, and her two children to watch the program. Her whole family was very pleased with the program.

"The program was a huge success. The orchestra and choir collaborated to perform traditional songs of Vietnamese culture, songs praising the nation. This is a rich cultural experience, which is very wonderful and very emotional," she said.

Hang’s father-in-law also appreciated the program with a combination of French and Vietnamese. It is a symbol of the friendship between the two countries.

The choir not only performs at events which have large numbers of Vietnamese people, but it is also invited to perform at art programs in localities of France.

In July, the choir and the Rouen orchestra produced a high-quality CD, including immortal songs of Vietnam.

The art program was also a chance to introduce the CD to the public.

On this occasion, the organizing board also introduced and displayed some images and maps of Vietnam’s territory and sovereignty over the sea and islands, as well as activities towards the homeland of the choir and the overseas Vietnamese community in France recently. The display attracted a large number of viewers./.
