Speaking at the event, Vietnamese Ambassador to Myanmar Luan Thuy Duong emphasized that the more than 100 paintings displayed at the exhibition helped visitors to not only visualize the features of the nature, country and people of Vietnam and Myanmar, but also showed what the two countries have in common: peace, gentle diversity, and rich cultural identity.

According to the Ambassador, the artists of the two countries participated in a painting exchange within the framework of the exhibition, and displayed new paintings after the exchange, expressing the tight connection among artists in particular and between the people of the two countries in general.

"From the image of the Golden Pagoda and the banyan tree of Myanmar in paintings of Vietnamese painters, to Vietnamese girls in charming national traditional long dress under the pen of the Myanmar painters, all showed that the painters of the two countries have exchanged mutual understanding, not only about painting and culture, but also the feelings about the country and people of Vietnam and Myanmar," said Ambassador Luan Thuy Duong.

Attending the closing ceremony of the exhibition, Mr. Lun Gywe, considered "ancestor" of painting sector, said that the exhibition was a "lucky" event for the artists to meet and show the emotion and cultures of their countries. This exhibition became even more meaningful in promoting the friendly relations and bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
