The event aimed to mark the 30 years since the UNESCO approved the Resolution on the celebration of the 100th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh.

Speaking at the ceremony, UNESCO Director-General Irina Bokova expressed her deep affection for the country and people of Vietnam, and respect for President Ho Chi Minh, through her three visits to Vietnam.

UNESCO and Vietnam have built the good, reliable relationship. Ms. Bokova said that with pride in its heroic history, Vietnam will continue to develop in the future.

The exhibition is also an opportunity for French friends, who love Vietnam, to recall events related to President Ho Chi Minh.

On this occasion, two poems of President Ho Chi Minh, set to music by French composer Louis Durey, were performed by singer Mathieu Lécroart./.
