Japanese Prime Minister sends condolences to Le Thi Nhat Linh’s family

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe expressed his condolences to Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan Nguyen Quoc Cuong regarding the case of Vietnamese girl Le Thi Nhat Linh, murdered in Chiba Prefecture, at a meeting at the Imperial Palace on April 17th.

He asked the Vietnamese Ambassador to convey his deep affection to Linh's family and said that the Japanese government would work to help the family overcome this great pain and loss.

Ambassador Nguyen Quoc Cuong expressed his thanks for the interest and condolences of Prime Minister Abe, the Government and the people of Japan on this issue. He expected that the Japanese authorities would soon find the perpetrators and that they would be severely punished in accordance with the laws of Japan.

At the meeting, the Japanese Prime Minister expressed his expectation to welcome Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc to pay an official visit to Japan this year, aiming to further deepen the strategic partnership between the two countries./.
