On behalf of the Vietnamese Embassy and community in RoK, Ambassador Nguyen Vu Tu thanked the VKBIA and VKEIA.

He emphasized that this gift from VKBIA and VKEIA is not only one of material support, but is also a great source of encouragement for the Vietnamese community in RoK in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

The ambassador said that through the Vietnamese Student Association in RoK, the embassy will deliver the face masks to Vietnamese people in localities which are most affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, up to now, there have been two Vietnamese people in RoK infected with COVID-19, and the Center has sent information about the patients to Vietnam’s Ministry of Health according to the International Health Regulations.

Vietnamese people living, studying or working in RoK, in the case of COVID-19 infection, will be treated free of charge./.
