Nguyen Thi Ngoc Hiep crowned Miss VYSA 2017 in Japan

After nearly two months, Nguyen Thi Ngoc Hiep from Yokohama city won the crown at the final round of the Miss VYSA 2017 contest, taking place at Hollywood Hall, Roppongi Hills (Tokyo, Japan) on January 14th.

Since late November 2017, 69 contestants registered to participate in the contest. Through several rounds, the Vietnamese Youth and Student Association (VYSA), organizing board of the contest, chose eight contestants to the final round.  

At the final round, the eight contestants performed in traditional long dress (ao dai) and answered two questions, one from the judges and another from Mrs. Hoang Minh Ha, spouse of the Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan.

Miss VYSA 2017 was awarded JPY50,000 in cash along with along with beauty and gift vouchers  

The runners- up were Ngo Huong Giang and Nguyen Hanh Dung, each was presented an award worth JPY30,000.

Pham Thanh Huong, President of VYSA for the 2018-2019 term and Head of the organizing board shared that Miss VYSA 2017 received more support from the Vietnamese youth and student community in Japan compared to the first contest. She felt happy because through contest, she understands more about Vietnamese beauty and thoughts, and the enthusiasm of young Vietnamese people in Japan.

Miss VYSA is a Vietnamese beauty contest in Japan, organized and maintained by VYSA. It was first organized in 2015./.
