No Vietnamese citizens affected by Typhoon Jebi

According to the information from the Consulate General of Vietnam in Osaka, Japan, Typhoon Jebi which is the strongest one over the past 25 years, landed in Japan and caused serious damage to people and property in localities, especially Osaka prefecture.

As of September 5th, nine victims were killed and about 340 injured.

The Consulate General of Vietnam in Osaka said that so far there have been no reports of Vietnamese citizens affected by the typhoon.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs asked Vietnam’s representative agencies in Japan, especially the Consulate General of Vietnam in Osaka, to continue working closely with local authorities to monitor the situation and take ready measures to protect citizens if necessity.

Vietnamese citizens in the affected areas should keep calm and strictly obey instructions and notices of local authorities.
