Speaking at the meeting, Head of the Management Board of Orchid Fund Vu Van Khu said that since its founding, the fund has awarded nearly 250 scholarships, contributing to encouraging and supporting poor but excellent pupils to continue to go to school.

In 2016, 75 pupils across Vietnam received scholarships, and many have made great achievements such as Phan Thanh Tung in Hanoi and Le Nguyen Minh Hao in Ho Chi Minh city.

He also said that the fund has developed a network in Japan, the US, Denmark and Singapore.

In the near future, the organizing board of the fund will continue to expand its network as well as its membership, by connecting and calling upon students who have received scholarships from the fund to return to support poor students.

In addition, the fund will also promote and introduce its purpose to international friends to call for support and further expand its scale and scope.

At the meeting, Minister-Counsellor of the Vietnamese Embassy in Singapore Dinh Hoang Linh appreciated the efforts of the members of the organizing board, as well as the results of the fund's efforts to help poor students over the past time.

On this occasion, the fund also organized an art program and painting auction to raise funds for charity activities in the coming time./.
