Ms. Tran Thi Chang, Head of the Vietnamese Women's Club in Malaysia, expressed her happiness and pride, saying that many Vietnamese people in Malaysia want to go to China to directly encourage U23 Vietnam at the final match on January 27th.
In order to create good conditions for football fans, the Vietnamese Embassy in Malaysia committed to support visa applications to China as soon as possible.
Mr. Nguyen Duc Tam, from Quoc Oai district, Hanoi, working for a goldsmith’s shop in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur, couldn’t prevent tears of happiness. In the working time, he only opened his mobile phone but turned off the sound and occasionally glanced at the screen. Before important developments of the match, especially when Vietnamese footballers scored a goal, he must try to control his feelings to not affect surrounding peoples.
However, when full back Vu Van Thanh shot the last penalty successfully, taking U23 Vietnam to the final match, he couldn’t hide his feelings. His tears stirred the emotion of his boss and colleagues. His boss even promised to allow him to be off on January 27th to watch the final match.
Like Mr. Tam, Vietnamese workers in Kuala Lumpur and other states of Malaysia had an evening full of happiness and pride.
Mr. Nguyen Van Lam, from Hai Duong, a manager of nearly 20 Vietnamese building workers, said that he and his colleagues couldn’t watch the match via mobile phone. When finishing the work at the construction site, they just had time to re-view the match, they still encouraged the team sincerely with all tones of emotion as they watched the live match.
When reading information about the happy atmosphere of fans in Vietnam, some workers dreamed that they were in Vietnam to join the streams of people celebrating the victory.
Mr. Lam said that he was very happy and proud to receive congratulations for U23 Vietnam from Bangladeshi and Indonesian workers working in the same construction site with him./.
