Overseas Vietnamese students exchange with Japanese businesses

An exchange between 17 businesses in Kyushu, Japan and Vietnamese students studying at five universities in the region was organized by the Kyushu - Vietnam Friendship Association, Consulate General of Vietnam in Fukuoka, administration of Fukuoka prefecture and Kyushu Economic Federation in Fukuoka, on April 14th.

The exchange created opportunities for Vietnamese students from the five universities in Fukuoka and Oita prefectures, including Kyushu University, Ritsumeikan Asia Pacific University, Japan University of Economics, Kyushu Institute of Information Sciences and Kyushu University of Industry, to access leading businesses in Kyushu to learn about their recruitment demands.

In addition, this 2nd event was also a good chacce for Japanese businesses in Kyushu to recruit high-quality students, suitable with the requirements of businesses, especially as more and more businesses in Kyushu are interested in investment and cooperation with Vietnam.

Through the program, many students have been recruited. This year, the number of businesses tripled, including many big businesses such as Kyushu Electric Power Company, Aeon Kyushu and Okura Hotel. Moreover, the number of students participating in the exchange also increased, 1.5 times higher than that of last year.

The exchange is part of the annual program of the Kyushu-Vietnam Friendship Association in order to connect businesses with Vietnamese students in Kyushu region, provide updated information and introduce the situation of companies in Kyushu and projects which will be carried out in cooperation with Vietnam.

The five-year goal is to attract a large number of Vietnamese students, after graduating from universities in Kyushu region, to work for local businesses./.
