VietChallenge 2019 launched for Vietnamese around globe

VietChallenge 2019, a startup contest for Vietnamese people around the globe, was launched by the Vietnamese Student and Youth Association in the US and the Hanoi Youth Union in Hanoi on November 14th.

Speaking at the event, Ms. Phan Zymaris Mai, Head of the Vietnamese Student and Youth Association in the US, said that this is the launching of the 4th contest.

At this contest, apart from experienced examiners of previous contests, there are professional investors and leading startup consultants from the US and Vietnam.

After the first three organizations, VietChallenge has created positive impressions and responded actively by Vietnamese startup teams around the world.

With a target of helping realize business ideas and solve challenges of Vietnam and the world economy during the Fourth Industrial Revolution, VietChallenge has unceasingly connected Vietnamese startups with startup experts in the US, bringing practical lessons for successful start-ups in an international environment.

VietChallenge officially receives applications from November 15th. After nine months, it will select the champion with a USD25,000 award, USD5,000 for the second winner, and four third winners will each get USD2,000.

During the contest, VietChallenge continues offering consulting program for participating teams, including financial support.

Experts in fields of computer science, artificial intelligence, automation robots and gigantic data will help teams tackle difficulties, as well as give the participating teams chances to meet and learn directly from leading US experts./.
