Vietnam participates in bazaar in Argentina

The Vietnamese Embassy and ASEAN members in Argentina, including Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines and Indonesia, on April 21st organized an annual bazaar to strengthen cultural exchange and improve understanding and cooperative friendship with the local country.

At the bazaar, ASEAN members introduced their special handicraft products, traditional costumes, dishes, art performance and martial arts.   

The Vietnamese Embassy introduced lacquer paintings, silk scarves, palm-leaf conical hat, traditional long dress and dishes, which attracted a large number of both foreign and local visitors. In addition, it also introduced images of famous landscapes of the nation to help visitors who intend to travel to Vietnam better understand about their planned destinations.

Speaking at the event, Malaysian Ambassador Mod Khalid Abbasi Razak praised the traditional and diversified cultural features of ASEAN member countries, and added that this was an opportunity for each country to introduce its image and culture.

He also praised the solidarity and cooperation among ASEAN member countries in organizing a significant annual event.

Deputy Foreign Minister Guillermo Raimundi thanked ASEAN countries for organizing the bazaar, thus helping Argentineans better understand the histories, cultures, lands and peoples of Southeast Asian countries.

He affirmed that the event also demonstrated the friendship and cooperative relations between Argentina and ASEAN./.
