The Vietnamese Buddhist Culture Association in Erfurt city, Germany held a solemn requiem for heroic martyrs sacrificed on Gac Ma reef on March 19th.

This is an activity to commemorate, express gratitude and pray for the soul of Gac Ma heroic martyrs for fighting and heroically sacrificing in the battle to protect the sovereignty over the sea and islands of Vietnam.
On behalf of the Organizing Committee, Mr. Bui Huu Trung, Chairman of the Vietnamese Buddhist Culture Association in Erfurt city, carried out a flag-raising ceremony, meditation, offered incenses, flowers and delivered speech to review memories and pay tribute to Gac Ma heroic martyrs.
Particularly, living witnesses of the Gac Ma Battle, former sailors of Naval Vessels 903, 505 under the Brigade 125, reviewed the arduous and fierce days and heroic sacrifices of their comrades to protect the sovereignty over the sea and islands of the nation.
At the event, the participants watched precious films recorded shares about the heroic fighting of the Gac Ma soldiers and meaningful art performances, honouring the history and praising the sacred and proud Vietnam./.
