Vietnamese student wins first prize at piano competition in Sweden

The 6th Stockholm International Music Competition, attracting nearly 300 contestants from Russia, Germany, China, Sweden, the US and Norway, was held in the Swedish capital Stockholm on May 25th - 28th.

The competition includes five age groups.

Luu Duc Anh, a student of the Vietnam National Academy of Music pursuing post-graduate training at Sweden’s Malmo Academy of Music, participated in the competition (aged 19-30) and won the first prize.

He is a student of Prof. Dr. Tran Thu Ha, a people’s artist and former Director of Vietnam National Academy of Music.

In the past, Duc Anh has won many high prizes in domestic and international piano competitions, especially "Leopold Godowsky" competition in Poland in 2014 and "Andree Charlier" competition in Belgium in 2016./.
