Commune famous for hand-made bamboo dragonflies

Thach Xa commune, Thach That district in Hanoi is famous for making bamboo dragonflies, which draw the interest of both domestic and foreign tourists.
The painstaking work requires the skillful hands of experienced artisans, and has developed well over the past 20 years.
Good quality bamboo is brought from Hoa Binh, Tuyen Quang and Vinh Phuc provinces.
Artisans have to follow different steps to make parts of the dragonflies.The bamboo dragonflies are balanced to stand on a small mouth.Bamboo dragonflies are decorated with colourful patterns.The patterns attract customers.
