In 2018, a 6-hectare strawberry farm among Son La province’s mountains provides some 50 tons of fruits, gaining VND10 billion.
The strawberry farm is situated among mountains in Ban Ang 2 village, Dong Sang commune.

The climate is suitable for growing strawberries.

Land is upgraded for growing strawberries.

Workers care for the farm.

Strawberries are planted in net houses with irrigation systems designed to prevent flooding.

Biological or herbal medicine is used to kill insects. “However, if there are flowers or fruits, the insects are caught by hands,” said a worker.

Strawberries receive fertilizer and water during their growth.

The fruits ripen after 3 months of growth and are harvested after 4 months.

The fruits are used to serve customers or distributed to supermarkets.

“This is the largest strawberry farm in Vietnam which expects to provide some 50 tons of fruits, or roughly VND10 billion,” said Vu Van Luc, the farm owner.

The strawberry farm serves tourists.

Since the beginning of this year, the farm has welcomed hundreds of thousands of visitors.
