This year, the program will last until December 31st to collect blood for patients, especially for child, as part of important activities during the EVN month of gratitude for customers.

In 2015 and 2016, EVN staff contributed 4,586 and 8,266 units of blood.

According to the NIHBT, each year, the country needs some 1.9 million units of blood for medical treatment and for reserves; however, the collected blood only satisfies some 60% of the demand.

With the hope to help child patients struggling with diseases, EVN and its trade union called on all workers to respond to the program.

On this occasion, the EVN presented 100 gifts to disadvantaged child patients at the NIHBT./.
