In the first 4 months of this year, over 41,725 labourers were sent to work abroad, accounting for 34.8% of the year’s plan, the Overseas Labourer Management Department under the Ministry of Labour, War-Invalids and Social Affairs (MOLISA), has reported.

Notably, the Japanese market continued to lead in receiving Vietnamese labourers (over 23,253), followed by China’s Taiwanese labour market (nearly 15,000), the Republic of Korea (over 1,800), Romania (496), Saudi Arabia (396), Algeria (218), Malaysia (203) and the others.

In April alone, nearly 9,400 labourers went to work abroad.

will continue to carry out measures in the coming months to stabilize the traditional labour markets and expand new ones, focusing on markets providing high income and suiting Vietnamese labourers’ qualification and skills.

MOLISA will also increase management and protection of legitimate interests of labourers, and create jobs for labourers returning from overseas./.
