Cambodian ruling Party marks 66th anniversary

On June 28th, the ruling Cambodian People’s Party (CPP) marked the 66th anniversary of its birth (28/6/1951 - 28/6/2017).

The celebration was presided over by CPP Honorary President Samdech Akka Moha Ponhea Chakrei Heng Samrin and CPP President Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo Hun Sen.

Mr. Samdech Techo Hun Sen said that the Party has scored numerous major and historic achievements for the nation over the past 66 years, and the Party has ruled the country since 1979 and brought full peace to the nation in 1998.

The CPP has led the Cambodian people through numerous difficulties and challenges to victory in the struggle for national independence, saving the nation from the genocidal disaster, and reviving the country.

Mr. Hun Sen continued that in the past 38 years of new area, the CPP exercised its leadership with numerous historical masterpieces for the nation, especially peace and development.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Cambodia Thach Du attended the ceremony and presented a basket of flowers from Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong to Cambodian Prime Minister and CPP President Hun Sen, and National Assembly President and CPP Honourary President Heng Samrin./.
