The announcement was made at a press conference on September 6th by a special envoy delegation returning from a visit to the DPRK on behalf of President Moon Jae-in, with Blue House National Security Office Director Chung Eui-yong as senior representative.

“High-level practical discussions on protocol, security, communications, and press coverage to prepare for the summit are to be held in Panmunjom early next week,” Mr. Chung Eui-yong said, adding that an agreement had also been reached to open an inter-Korean joint liaison office in Kaesong, in accordance with an agreement at the first inter-Korean summit in Panmunjom on April 27th, before the third summit takes place in Pyongyang.

DPRK's leader Kim Jong-un also reconfirmed his firm commitment to the complete denuclearization of the Korean peninsula, special envoy Chung Eui-yong said.

Earlier, DPRK’s leader Kim Jong-un and RoK's President Moon Jae-in met in April and May at the border truce village of Panmunjom, within the demilitarized zone (DMZ) that separates the two countries, and agreed that the next summit would be held in the DPRK’s capital in autumn./.
