RoK President Moon Jae-in visits Singapore

The Republic of Korea (RoK)’s President Moon Jae-in on July 11th began his official three-day visit to Singapore.

Mr. Moon Jae-in met with President Ram NathKovind on his first visit to the country.

He was expected to discuss his new foreign policy on ASEAN and South Asian countries in his meeting with Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong.

During his visit to Singapore, Mr. Moon will also give a speech on his vision and policies for permanent peace on the Korean Peninsula, as well as co-operation with Asian countries in the region.

Singapore is his second and last destination of his diplomatic tour of South and Southeast Asia.

Prior to his trip to Singapore, President Moon Jae-in travelled to India on July 8th for a four-day state visit that included a bilateral summit with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

In India, President Moon and Prime Minister Modi discussed ways to strengthen the countries' special strategic partnership, and to further expand their future-oriented cooperation./.
