Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov will visit the United States on May 9th - 11th, according to the Russian Foreign Ministry.

He will hold a discussion with US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson in Washington on May 10th, expecting to discuss Syria and Ukraine, among other issues.
"On May 10th, talks are scheduled in Washington with US Secretary of State R. Tillerson, during which it is planned (for the two sides) to exchange views on key international issues and current issues of bilateral relations," the ministry said in a statement on its website.
On the same day, the US State Department also confirmed the plan.
The State Department announced, "On Ukraine, the sides will discuss the need to stop the violence in eastern Ukraine and resolve the conflict through the full implementation of the Minsk agreements”.
"On Syria, the Secretary intends to discuss efforts to de-escalate violence, provide humanitarian assistance to the Syrian people, and set the stage for a political settlement of the conflict"./.
