Bac Ninh: Nine-month budget collection hits over 24 trillion VND

Bac Ninh’s state budget collection reached 24,354 billion VND in the first nine months of 2024, 78% of the year’s estimate and up 20.5% year on year, according to the provincial Statistics Office.

The increase mainly was from revenues from land use, non-state taxes, fees, charges and customs revenue.

According to the Bac Ninh Statistics Office, General Regional Domestic Products (GRDP) in the third quarter increased by 4.5% over the same period last year. In the nine months, the province’s GRDP increased by 5.52% over the same period.

By region, all three economic sectors achieved growth, of which the service sector increased the most by 5.96%, followed by the industry and construction sector by 5.76% and the agriculture, forestry and fishery sector by 1.09%.

The scale of GRDP (at current prices) over the past nine months is estimated at 168,870 billion VND. In terms of economic structure, the agriculture, forestry and fishery sector accounted for 2.88%; the industry and construction sector accounted for 70.68%; the service sector accounted for 22.42% and product taxes and product subsidies were 4.03%.

Specifically, domestic revenue was estimated at 17,813 billion VND, up 18.3%; customs revenue was estimated at VND 6,527 billion, up 26.8%. In domestic revenue, only environmental protection tax revenue decreased slightly by 0.1%, the remaining revenues all increased.

Local budget expenditure in the nine months is estimated to reach 11,425 billion VND, equal to 54.1% of the 2024 estimate and an increase of 10.6% over the same period last year. Of which, development investment expenditure increased by 0.9% and regular expenditure soared by 19%, ensuring the needs of socio-economic development, national defense, state management and social security./.
