Bac Ninh supported to promote investment in Spain

During the meeting, she gave an overview of the province's economic, cultural and social development over the past time. Based on the potential and strengths of the province, she said she wished Vietnamese Ambassador to Spain Hoang Xuan Hai to act as a bridge to support the province to encourage Spanish businesses to come to learn and invest in production and business in Bac Ninh province. Priority focus is on industries with high technology content, modern and environmentally friendly. In the field of culture, tourism and people's diplomacy, the Ambassador is requested to support the province in implementing information exchange activities, promoting unique cultural values, heritages and famous tourist attractions of the province to the Spanish people.

Currently, Bac Ninh province is actively coordinating with relevant authorities to mobilize for the Dong Ho folk painting profession to be recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage in need of urgent protection of humanity. The interest and support of the Spanish people will contribute an important voice for UNESCO to soon recognize the craft of making Dong Ho folk paintings as a cultural heritage.

Ms Giang wishes that the Ambassador and staff of the Embassy always care for, help, support and create favorable conditions for the Bac Ninh community in Spain to feel secure to live, study, work, actively contribute to the socio-economic development of Vietnam and the host country. She asked the Ambassador to create favorable conditions to help delegations and businesses of Bac Ninh province come to explore investment and trade opportunities, promote culture and tourism to overseas Vietnamese and Spanish people.

Ambassador Hoang Xuan Hai expressed his joy and excitement to welcome the provincial delegation, congratulating Bac Ninh province on its important achievements after more than 25 years of re-establishment. Spanish businesses have many strengths to invest in green energy; and attract tourists (about 83 million visitors per year). The Ambassador agreed that he would accompany and support Bac Ninh province in strengthening investment promotion in the fields of green economy, tourism and entertainment development in association with preserving and promoting the national cultural identity./.
