Art performance marks historical event in Quang Ninh province

On August 5^th, a cultural exchange and art performance took place in Ha Long city to mark the 49^th anniversary of Vietnamese People’s Navy victory in the struggle against the US (Aug 5, 1964 – Aug 5, 2013).

Nearly 300,000 young people and volunteers made great contribution to the victory for the cause of national construction and defence.

On this occasion, the organizing board of the programme presented gifts to 20 former young volunteers in the province.

In the struggle against the US, militiaman in Hong Gai town in particular and in Quang Ninh province in general coordinated with navy and antiaircraft forces to fight against US aircraft, gaining special victories.
