(CPV) - As many as 8 football teams from Brazil, South Korea, Thailand, Myanmar and host Vietnam, will compete at the BTV - Cup Number One 2014 tour, kicking off on November 7 with the final on 16th of the month.
This event marks the first year that the Quang Ninh coal team (TQN) has transferred from the Vietnam Coal and Mining Industries Group (TKV) to the Ha Giang Gold and Mineral Resources Exploration JSC (from this September 4). The team successfully signed deals with key players and welcomed new comers like Nigerian born striker Dinh Hoang Max, 28, from Hung Vuong An Giang FC and striker Quang Hai, 29, from Hai Phong FC as well as seeing the benefit of an additional VND100 billion financial support to finance necessary renovations and cub restructuring.

Players will compete in 2 groups. Group A consists of Becamex Binh Duong, Dong Tam Long An, Bec Tero Sasana (Thailand) and Korean student teams, while Group B sees TQN, SHB Da Nang, Capixaba (Brazil) and Ayeyawady United (Myanmar). The two international referees from Malaysia and Thailand were also invited.
The winner is expected to pocket a VND450 million cash prize with the runners-up getting VND250 million and VND100 million, respectively.
The 15th tournament to kick off at Binh Duong provincial stadium, will be transmitted live on channels in Quang Binh, An Giang, Binh Phuoc, Tay Ninh, Ba Ria - Vung Tau, Dong Nai and Binh Duong television stations.
A representative from TQN said that this tour is a good chance for the team to gain more skills and experiences, hoping to place in the “four big names” list of V-League 2015 season./.
