Exhibitions mark 50th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh’s testament

Exhibitions to mark 50 years of implementing the testament of President Ho Chi Minh are taking place in Hanoi, the southern province of Dong Nai and the southern city of Can Tho.

In Hanoi, an exhibition to mark 50 years of implementing the President’s Testament will take place at the Vietnam Exhibition Centre for Culture and Arts from August 30th to September 3rd. A copy of the original 10-page testament, along with relevant documents, objects and photos, will be introduced.

In Dong Nai province, more than 50 photos on President Ho Chi Minh’s life and career, 250 photos and 200 objects on the historical context of President Ho Chi Minh’s birth, the content of his testament and outstanding achievements that the Vietnam and Dong Nai province have gained over the past 50 years of implementing the President Ho Chi Minh’s testament, are exhibited. In addition, more than 170 books written on President Ho Chi Minh and Dong Nai province are introduced. The exhibition will run until September 10th.

In Can Tho city, a photo exhibition titled "50 years of President Ho Chi Minh's testament" was held, together with a painting exhibition on life in resistance wars in the Mekong Delta. The exhibition will run until September 9th.

President Ho Chi Minh began writing his will in May 1965 and finished it in May 1969 – four months before he passed away. The Testament sums up the President’s viewpoint and ideology, while expressing his concerns, aspirations and hopes for the country./.
