3D Tour in Vietnamese and English enables public explore National Fine Arts Museum

This will allow arts lovers to enjoy the museum’s various collections of national treasures, paintings and sculptures anywhere and anytime, using their Internet-connected smartphones or computers.

It is part of the museum’s efforts to get closer to the public given that the COVID-19 outbreak has forced it to shut down for months.

Particularly, visitors are provided with access to high-resolution video clips about two national treasures to get insights into their historic and art values.

The museum's move is in line with the policy of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism on digital transformation in the second half of this year as the COVID-19 pandemic continues to affect the sector.

At the homescreen of the website vnfam.vn, find and select the 3D tour field to explore 24 permanent exhibition galleries of the Museum. Visitors can also listen to the introductions of the galleries and collections to know more about the development of the national fine arts throughout history.

Remarkably, visitors are given a closer insight into typical artworks with the high-quality video of the Statue of the Bodhisattva Avalokisteshvara and the link to the Multimedia Guide Application iMuseum VFA. Visitors can easily find these artworks by noticeable icons beside them.

The 3D virtual tour of the Vietnam National Fine Arts Museum is the next digitisation project of the Museum, with the hope to reach more visitors as well as enhance visiting experience for tourists. Released on the 55th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Fine Arts Museum (June 24, 1966 - June 24, 2021), the 3D tour is a present of the Museum for the public. Hoping this will be a bridge connecting the Museum closer with both local and foreign visitors./.
