At the closing ceremony of 2024 International Dance Festival held in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue on August 21, the best dance performances by Vietnamese and international artists won five gold medals.

Three gold medals went to local dancers from the Military University of Culture and Arts, the Vietnam Academy of Dance, and the Vietnam National Opera and Ballet.
Dancers from Laos and Indonesia took home two other gold medals.
The organising board also presented 10 silver medals to winners of other outstanding dance performances.
The festival aims to provide a venue for dance artists to show off their talents and learn from each other, and introduce their cultural values to international friends.
Nearly 500 artists and performers from 17 troupes representing Laos, the Philippines, China, India, Indonesia, Cambodia, the United Arab Emirates, Malaysia, and Vietnam participated in the festival from August 17 to 21.
This is the second time Vietnam has hosted the festival, following the 2017 event./.
