The capital city of Hanoi is expected to set a Southeast Asian record with a majestic light and sound performance supported by 2,024 unmanned aerial vehicles in the sky on Lunar New Year's Eve, reported VOV.

Either West Lake or My Dinh National Stadium will be selected to become the venue for the performance of 2,204 drones, said Truong Viet Dung, an official of the Hanoi administration, at a press conference on January 19.

To ring in the Year of the Dragon, Hanoi will set off fireworks at 32 sites, with nine of them featuring high-range shows.

The fireworks display will last for 15 minutes from midnight on February 10.

Thousands of revelers, mostly young people, converge on entertainment centres in Hanoi on lunar New Year’s Eve to enjoy the eye-catching fireworks display and ring in the New Year. This year, February 9 is the last day of the 12th lunar month./.
