VNA quoted the saying of composer Do Hong Quan, Chairman of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations, highlighted the strong and friendly ties between Vietnam and China in the fields, particularly music.
Recently, the Nanning People's Committee and the Guangxi Arts University hosted the China-ASEAN music festival and cultural month programmes, featuring the participation of nearly 150 artists as well as two symphony and folk orchestras from Vietnam.
Chen Yijun, member of the standing board of the Guangxi Party Committee and head of the committee’s publicity department, noted the vital role of music in cultural exchanges between the two countries. Over recent years, art universities in Guangxi and Vietnam have actively exchanged young talents, co-organised music weeks, concerts, art exhibitions, and collaborated on artistic creations and talent development programmes.
The music exchange evening was rounded off with an orchestral symphony on the Vietnam-China ties./.
