The event will take place at 2 p.m. at the Hanoi Opera House on September 2 and will be broadcast live on the Vietnam Television (VTV) channel.

The information was released at the press briefing on the concert held August 21.

The conductor, who has been living in Vietnam for seven years, said he has to spend much time studying the rhythm as well as meanings of the lyrics as the Vietnamese language is very difficult.

Ochanine is a French conductor and flutist. He won first prize at the Antal Dorati International Conducting Competition in Budapest, Hungary, in 2015 when he surpassed nearly 120 other opponents from 23 countries.

He also won the American Prize 2015 in the Professional Orchestra Conducting division, and second prize at the London Classical Soloists International Conducting Competition in 2015.

The September 2 concert also marks the first time that the Sun Symphony Orchestra (SSO) will take part in the concert./.
