The Japanese film festival 2023 will take place in Hanoi from December 8 to December 21 to open up fresh opportunities to allow Vietnamese audiences to access Japanese cinema, especially for movie lovers.

The information has been released by the Japan Foundation Centre for Cultural Exchange in Vietnam.
The event will be part of activities aimed at celebrating 50 years since the establishment of Vietnam-Japan diplomatic ties.
The occasion will open with “The father of milky way railroad” which competed in the Shanghai international film festival 2023, along with “A man” which walked away with eight Japan Academy Awards this year, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor, and Best Supporting Actress.
It will continue with “The lines that define me”, “The water flows to the sea”, “Liar and Liar”, and “The first slam dunk”.
Other films to be screened include “Brave: Gunjo Senki” and “We made a beautiful bouquet”, with each film shown having both Vietnamese and English subtitles.
Tickets opened for sale from December 3 at a price of VND50,000 per ticket at the National Cinema Centre at 87 Lang Ha street in Ba Dinh district./.
