The Nghe An Department of Culture and Sports has opened an additional gallery about Ho Chi Minh Square and organized planting of memorial trees at simulated Chung Mountain in order to better promote the value of Ho Chi Minh Square and Uncle Ho’s Monument in the center of Vinh city.
Over the past 20 years, Ho Chi Minh Square and Uncle Ho’s Monument in Vinh has gradually affirmed its role and importance in the minds of Nghe An people and the whole country, worthy of being a key cultural and political project of Nghe An, increasingly contributing to popularizing and educating Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style and educating all generations on patriotic and revolutionary traditions, especially the younger generation.

According to the approved design, the additional Gallery on Ho Chi Minh Square was built at the foot of Uncle Ho’s Monument, with an area of 156.4 m2, including a reception area and auxiliary corridor with an area of 84.4 m2.
Photo and artifact display space covers 72m2, displaying 116 photos, 6 excerpts, 24 documents and artifacts, and 1 relief.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Director of Nghe An Department of Culture and Sports Tran Thi My Hanh affirmed that the additional gallery with many documents, images, artifacts and sacred memorabilia not only contributes to portraying Uncle Ho’s feelings for Nghe An people, but also shows the deep gratitude of the Party Committee and people of Nghe An to our beloved Uncle.
Along with the gallery, a number of items such as: digital museum about Uncle Ho, outdoor display spaces and reading culture space will be proposed to be adjusted and supplemented in planning to create more impressive highlights to attract more tourists to the square, further spreading Ho Chi Minh’s cultural values in his homeland.
On this occasion, in response to the “Tree planting festival for eternal gratitude to Uncle Ho” movement, provincial leaders planted trees at the simulated Chung Mountain on the campus of Ho Chi Minh Square, Vinh City./.
