Over 6,000 athletes join 2023 Ca Mau Marathon

This is the second year the Mekong Delta province of Ca Mau has organized the Marathon and attracted a large number of athletes to participate.

The marathon’s organizers awarded prizes to excellent athletes finishing at 4 distances: 5km, 10km, 21km and 42km.

Through this race, Ca Mau also wants to popularize and raise people’s awareness about practicing sports, improving health, stature and quality of life; and continue to promote the Campaign “All people exercise their bodies following the example of great Uncle Ho” in 2021-2030.

This year's running route departs from the Gas-Electricity-Protein Industrial Complex, passes through the primary cajuput forest of U Minh Ha National Park, then goes straight to Phan Ngoc Hien Square in the center of Ca Mau city. 

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Deputy Chairman of the Ca Mau People’s Committee, Head of the tournament organizers Nguyen Minh Luan, emphasized that the 2023 Ca Mau Marathon is a highlight among interesting destinations attracting domestic and foreign tourists to explore and experience. Through this tournament, the organizers want to convey the message that Ca Mau is a safe destination with beautiful natural landscapes, fresh climate, sacred land with gentle, loving, friendly and hospitable people./.
