Promoting friendship and cooperation between Vietnam and Cambodia

Head of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee’s Commission for Popularization and Education Nguyen Trong Nghia held an online talk with Chairman of the Cambodian People’s Party (CPP) Central Committee’s Commission for Publicity and Education Tak Sun Y on September 30.

On September 30, 2021, the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committee Commission for Popularization and Education held an online talk with the the Cambodian People’s Party (CPP) Central Committee’s Commission for Publicity and Education.

The talks aim to further strengthen and tighten the cooperative relations between the two Parties and countries; promoting the cooperation relationship between commissions, making practical and effective contributions to improving the quality of dissemination, press and other activities of popularization of each Party.

At the talk, Comrade Nguyen Trong Nghia - Secretary of the CPV Central Committee, and Head of the CPV Central Committee Commission for Popularization and Education, said that over the past time, the cooperation between the two Parties and the two countries has been continuously consolidated and developed extensively in various fields. From the beginning of 2021 until now, senior leaders of the Party and State of Vietnam have had phone talks and meetings with senior leaders of the Party and State of Cambodia. In particular, at the phone talk between Party General Secretary and State President Nguyen Phu Trong and President of the Cambodian People’s Party and Prime Minister of Cambodia Hun Sen in February 2021, Party General Secretary and State President Nguyen Phu Trong and Prime Minister Hun Sen affirmed that Vietnam and Cambodia would continue to closely coordinate and effectively implement high-level agreements between senior leaders of the two Parties and countries; and continue to cultivate good neighbourliness, traditional friendship, and comprehensive, sustainable and long-term cooperation between the two countries.

At the talk, the delegates of the two sides focused on exchanging and discussing issues related to dissemination, studying and implementing the policies and directions of each Party; press direction and orientation; and the dissemination of COVID-19 prevention and control./.
