Four members of the band - Mark Feehily, Shane Filan, Kian Egan and Nicky Byrne – in their casual clothes were excited at Vietnamese fans’ warm welcome at the airport.
This is the second time Westlife has performed in Vietnam, following their concert in Hanoi in 2011.
The band originally planned a single show on November 22 evening.
However, tickets were quickly sold out after four hours of online sales, and the band decided to stage an additional show on November 21 evening.
According to VOV, the Vietnam concert, part of Westlife’s ongoing “The Wild Dreams Tour”, will feature the band’s most classic hits such as Fool Again, If I Let You Go, I Lay My Love On You, Home, Swear It Again, What About Now, Mandy, What Makes A Man, Queen Of My Heart, Uptown Girl, Nothing's Gonna Change My Love For You, Season In The Sun, World Of Our Own, and Flying Without Wings.
The band are expected to cover some of ABBA’s hits, including: Mamma Mia, Gimme Gimme Gimme, Money Money Money, Take a Chance on Me, I Have a Dream, Dancing Queen, Waterloo, and Thank You for the Music.
Westlife are a pop group from Ireland founded in 1998. The band initially had five members - Shane Filan, Mark Feehily, Kian Egan, Nicky Byrne and Brian McFadden. However, Brian left the group in 2004. After 14 years of operation, the band disbanded in 2012 and then reunited in 2018.
They have sold over 55 million records and are holders of four Guinness World Records. Westlife have also received numerous accolades, including one World Music Award, two Brit Awards, four MTV Awards, and four Record of the Year Awards.
