Quacquarelli Symonds (QS), an education organisation based in the UK, announced on June 24th that two Vietnamese universities have made it into the QS Top 50 Under 50 2021, which ranks the world’s best universities which have been founded within the past 50 years.

Vietnam National University in Hanoi is named in the QS Top 50 Under 50 2021.

According to VOV, in line with the list, both Vietnam National University in Hanoi and Vietnam National University in Ho Chi Minh city have been named within the 101st to 150th group.

This marks the first time that the Vietnam National University in Hanoi has broken into the list.

Last year saw the Vietnam National University in Ho Chi Minh city be the only Vietnamese representative to make the QS Top 50 Under 50 2020.

Topping the list, Nanyang Technological University continues to lead the way for young universities, a table exclusively for academic institutions worldwide which are less than 50 years old.

Originally published in 2012, the QS Top 50 Under 50 allows some of the world's top young universities to shine and since 2015 has tripled its range to include the Next 100 Under 50.

The QS ranking is one of the three most prestigious lists in terms of university rankings globally, alongside China’s Shanghai Academic Ranking of World Universities and the UK’s Times Higher Education rankings.

Vietnam News Agency reported that last month, overseas shipments of cashew nuts fell 3.7 percent in volume and 9.7 percent in value from April to 42,821 tonnes and USD263.14 million.

Meanwhile, the five-month figures rose 17.1 percent in volume and 1.4 percent in value year on year, with 182,799 tonnes shipped abroad.

The US was the biggest destination of Vietnamese cashew nuts during the period, accounting for almost 37 percent of total exports, followed by the EU with 25 percent.

Some European and US importers said due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the consumption of processed cashew nuts has dropped at hotels and restaurants there.

However, the product sold well at supermarkets, and this is one the reasons why the volume of cashew nuts shipped to these markets surged between February and April, the general department noted.

So confirmed Grigory Trofimchuk, Chairman of the Council of Experts of Eurasian Research Foundation of Russia, in a recent article published in the journal "Russian Spring" (Rusvesna).

Mr. Grigory Trofimchuk, who had a chance to see the propaganda posters and paintings with his own eyes during his visit to Vietnam last year, delivered his evaluation that Vietnam’s dissemination of information using propaganda paintings is gentle, easily going into people's hearts. According to the expert, propaganda posters in Vietnam are designed to be friendly, as a reminder and advice, not in forms of mandatory orders. The propaganda paintings are hung simply and intimately, giving viewers the feeling that this is real life, and that they are also present in that life, according to the article.

The Russian expert believed that propaganda paintings have really come into everyday life, such as the exercise of Hanoi people every afternoon. It seems that people are following President Ho Chi Minh's example in exercising every day, which is stated in a poster stored in the Ho Chi Minh Museum, a poster that the author had a chance to see. He also said that the achievements of the Vietnamese sports teams in recent years are thanks in part to that ideological energy.

The author of the article shared that there is no formalism in the field of thought. This shows the great practical experience of Vietnamese leaders, helps to find the most accurate sound in the field of political graphics and helps the Vietnamese people in their daily lives, he added.

Over the past time, the Vietnamese Government's use of propaganda posters and paintings in the fight against COVID-19 have received strong consensus from the people, thereby helping to bring the success that is recognized by the international community./.
