(CPV) - The Hanoi Association of Photographic Artists organized a ceremony to award the 53rd Hanoi art photography contest and open its exhibition at 45 Trang Tien Street, Hoan Kiem district on October 10.

The contest, which is a part of activities marking the 69th anniversary of Hanoi’s Liberation Day (October 10, 1954 - October 10, 2023), is held annually to encourage local photographers to record the long history of Hanoi.
This year’s contest featured two themes on Hanoi’s craft villages and charms from every corner of the fatherland.
After over two months of launching, the organizing committee received 1,712 entries from 227 photographers. The judging board selected 112 outstanding works from both themes to be displayed at the exhibition and awarded prizes to 22 works.
In the category of craft villages, 16 works were awarded, including one first, two second, three third, and ten consolidation prizes. The first prize was awarded to the work the person preserving the soul of Hang Trong folk painting by Vu Bao Ngoc.
In the category of Vietnamese charms, six works won one first, two second, and three third prizes. The first prize went to “Completing the assembly of rotor into stator at a hydroelectric plant” by author Pham Hai Vinh.
The exhibition will open until October 15./.
