A seminar to promote the resources of overseas Vietnamese has been held by the State Commission on Overseas Vietnamese in Ho Chi Minh city in order to assist businesses to participate in the Europe - Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA).

At the event, participants stressed that businesses should improve themselves to be able to make best use of the opportunities this agreement offers.
In his speech before more than 100 overseas Vietnamese businesspersons and representatives of Ho Chi Minh city companies, Standing Vice Chairman of the city People’s Committee Le Thanh Liem reviewed economic achievements of the city, while stressing the valuable contributions of overseas Vietnamese around the world. These are contributions of investment capital, technology, ideas and connection channels since the past days the southern hub met difficulties.
He affirmed that with the deepest and widest integration level, EVFTA has created a new impetus to boost Vietnam’s exports to the EU.
Ho Chi Minh city hoped that overseas Vietnamese will provide and share information, valuable experience, suitable policies and feasible and creative solutions to help companies optimally benefit from EVFTA.
Mr. Liem asked related departments and branches to carefully study the contents of the agreement to accompany businesses to take full advantage of the terms to improve the highest efficiency of business activities./.
