Ho Chi Minh City has first “face mask ATM"

A "face mask ATM" has been installed in Tan Phu district, Ho Chi Minh City to provide free face masks as part of joint efforts to combat the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic throughout the country.

The machine is made by Hoang Tuan Anh, who earlier introduced the famous "rice ATMs" during the COVID-19 fight in March. The ATM is expected to deliver free masks to people every Thursday, from 10:00-16:00, while other locations will be installed in an effort to distribute free face masks for residents on the other days of the week.
According to Mr. Hoang Tuan Anh, his initiative comes after the recent regulations of Ho Chi Minh City requiring citizens to wear face masks in public places./.
