An event has been held by Ho Chi Minh City Television (HTV) to announce information about the 35th HTV Cup national cycling tournament in 2023.

The tournament aims to celebrate the 48th anniversary of the Southern Liberation and national reunification (April 30), the 137th anniversary of the International Labor Day (May 1), the 133rd birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19), and the 35th anniversary of the founding of the national bicycle race to compete for the Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) Television Cup.
This year's tournament brings together most of the strongest racing teams in the country such as HCMC - Vinama, Loc Troi Group, Domesco Dong Thap Pharmacy, Military Zone 7, Hanoi, Kenda Dong Nai, and Binh Minh Binh Duong Plastics.
The riders will compete in 25 stages with a total route of 2,964 km across the country, starting from the circuit around Hoan Kiem Lake (Hanoi) on April 2, going to An Giang province and ending in HCMC at noon of April 30.
Mr. Thai Thanh Chung, Deputy General Director of HTV, said that after 35 years of organization, the race has grown in scale and quality. This year, athletes will participate in new races through the Central Highlands and Mekong Delta provinces.
In terms of award, the total value of the award is about 2 billion VND. At the final round, the winner of the yellow shirt will receive an award of 200 million VND; the winners of blue shirt and red shirt will receive an award of 50 million VND each; the winning team will receive a prize of 100 million VND.
The first place athlete at each stage will receive an award of 20 million VND, the following places are 5 million VND, 3 million VND and 1 million VND./.
