The Farmers’ Association and Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) opened a fair to introduce typical agricultural products and the One Commune-One Product (OCOP) products in Vanh Dai Trong Street, Binh Tri Dong B Ward, Binh Tan District, on April 21.

Speaking at the fair, Ms. Huynh Thi Kim Xuyen, Vice President of the HCMC Farmers' Association, Head of the Organizing Committee, said that the fair has the participation of 600 booths, in which, 200 booths display and introduce key agricultural products of the city, and OCOP products with high quality, high use value and environmental friendliness such as: Orchids, bonsai, ornamental plants, vegetables, mushrooms, packaged products, seeds, fertilizers, garden tools and so on.
Also according to Ms. Xuyen, this exhibition is an opportunity for all four sides: the State, farmers, scientists and entrepreneurs, to meet to research and create high-quality plant and breed varieties, suitable for production in accordance with actual conditions to provide products to the market.
Within the framework of the fair, the HCMC Farmers' Association also organized two seminars on agricultural start-ups, e-commerce and digital transformation.
Besides, the orchid and bonsai design contest will take place at the fair with the participation of artisans and gardeners in HCMC, Long An, Tien Giang, and Binh Duong provinces with 80 works of orchids and 120 works of bonsai.
During the opening ceremony, the organizers also offered scholarships to 200 pupils facing difficult circumstances in Binh Tan District./.
