Ho Chi Minh City - Brisbane direct flight helps promote tourism and bilateral trade

Vietjet has officially opened a direct route from Ho Chi Minh City to Brisbane (Australia), on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Vietnam and Australia.

With this direct flight, Vietjet became the first airline to have direct flights between Vietnam and Queensland.

The first flight opened to the welcome and joy of the people, tourists and leaders of the two countries Vietnam - Australia. Previously, on June 4, the Prime Ministers of Vietnam and Australia attended a ceremony to announce the new flight route. At the event, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese excitedly welcomed the first direct flight connecting Vietnam with the beautiful city of Brisbane, where the 2032 Summer Olympics will take place.

Vietjet Deputy General Director Mr. Michael Hickey said at the launch ceremony that with the route connecting the two cities, two countries and two regions, the crew and company leaders welcome customers to happy flights, full of smiles with Vietjet.

With 2 round flights per week, Vietjet's direct flight from Ho Chi Minh City to Brisbane will depart every Monday and Friday with unlimited promotions, a variety of hot and fresh dishes, served by dedicated, cheerful, professional flight attendants on large, comfortable and modern aircrafts.

Brisbane is the third largest city and is known as the "New York" of Australia, with a blend of a young, vibrant city and natural scenery. Meanwhile, Ho Chi Minh City is the outstanding economic, cultural and tourist center of Vietnam as well as the region with many unique Asian cultural features, modern bustling life and convenient connections with all destinations in Vietnam as well as internationally.

The new route will contribute to promoting tourism and bilateral trade between Vietnam and Australia, expand Vietjet's flight network on the east coast of Australia, the most populae area of Australia, with eight round-trip flights weekly to and from Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane./.
